Career-Tech Education Celebrated at Grand Opening
Thursday, February 12, was a special night at Wayne High School. Families from across the district looked over the school during the annual open house and people from across the community joined them to view the grand opening of the new and newly renovated robotics and engineering labs.
WDTN-TV news anchor Kelley King came to spotlight these labs for the station's Skills 2 Succeed series, a spot that is planned to air later this month. She interviewed students, staff members, and Superintendent Jason Enix.
The grand opening also included tours of the welding, HVAC, construction, biomedical sciences, media, and agricultural labs. The open house included booths from more than 20 student organizations and a special presentation for eighth-graders.
