Studebaker Preschool is an integrated preschool program that provides early intervention opportunities for children ages 3-5 for both typical students and students with disabilities. Enrolled students attend one of two sessions (AM: 9:20-11:50 or PM: 1:15-3:45). Children who are five years old on or before August 1st are eligible to enroll in kindergarten.

The preschool program uses The Creative Curriculum ® for Preschool, a comprehensive, research-based curriculum, which features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical-thinking skills. We’ve chosen this curriculum because it focuses on the skills and knowledge that are most important for helping your child to be successful in school. Throughout the year, we will plan learning experiences that are just right for your child, so that he or she can make progress at his or her own pace.

We will also utilize a digital platform, Seesaw. It is primarily used to increase student engagement, inspiring even our youngest learners to do their best! Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos, and more to capture learning in a portfolio. Teachers find or create activities to share with students. And the platform can be used for parent-teacher communication.

I received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in middle childhood education from Wright State University, and obtained my principal licensure, as well as the curriculum, instruction and professional development licensure from the University of Dayton. In 2016, I earned a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction.
