State Testing: April 1 - May 9

STATE TESTING DATES

We use different ways to measure how well students are learning, and one of those is through standardized tests. Below, you will find the state testing schedule for each building, subject, and grade level.

Students will stick to their regular school schedule during testing unless otherwise noted.

Elementary Testing Schedule: April 1 - May 9

Junior High Testing Schedule: April 8 - May 9

High School Testing Schedule: April 14 - May 2

How You Can Help Your Child Feel Confident and Calm During Testing:

  • Encourage plenty of rest. A good night’s sleep (8 or 9 hours if possible) helps your child stay focused and perform their best.
  • Ensure they arrive at school on time.
  • Make sure they eat a healthy breakfast. A nutritious meal fuels their energy and concentration. FREE breakfast is available to students on testing days. Breakfast start times vary by school; check with your child's building for details.
  • Offer lots of positive encouragement. Keep the pressure low, and remind your child that doing their best is what matters most.

Your support and encouragement can make all the difference in how your child approaches testing. With your help, they can feel confident and ready to do their best.

Huber Heights City Schools Redistricting Update
Wendy Barhorst

Huber Heights City Schools has been working with Cropper GIS, a national expert in redistricting, and a group of parents, educators, and community members on a year-long project to improve balance, equity, and efficiency in our elementary schools.

On Thursday, December 12, our Superintendent, Mr. Enix, recommended that the Board of Education approve a plan containing minimal changes to the current district map, while slightly improving transportation efficiency. The Board approved this plan during their January 9 meeting. It will go into effect for the 2025-2026 school year.

While the goal of balancing school usage wasn’t fully met in the approved plan, it was determined that the first two options did not provide a compelling reason to justify the significant disruptions they would cause to students, families, and staff.

Visit tinyurl.com/3wabfjeh to learn more about the project and view the approved plan.

Thank you for your support and participation!
