Welcome to Warrior Country where we always display our Warrior Pride! Huber Heights City Schools is committed to easing the transition of our military-connected students and their families.  We understand that moving to a new area can be difficult, and we aim to help our families make this transition as smoothly as possible. Because of our close proximity to Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), we are fortunate to serve many children of military personnel.

Registration and Military Liaisons

To begin our paperless enrollment process through FinalForms, please visit our Registration page. For all registration and enrollment questions, please contact Registration at 937-237-6300 ext. 7 or by email at registrar@myhhcs.org. She is happy to connect you with the appropriate person(s) at the building your student will attend as they transition to becoming a Warrior!

Our military liaisons (below) are also available to guide you as you become part of the Warrior family. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you have any questions.

STARBASE

All fifth grade students visit Wright Patterson Air Force Base to participate in STARBASE, which is a Department of Defense (DOD) youth program. This program highlights several aspects of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Students interact with military personnel and engage in various team-building activities as they explore various career areas.

Project Lead the Way (PLTW)

Our junior high students continue to explore the sciences through the Project Lead the Way Program (PLTW). Weisenborn Junior High, which earned the PLTW Distinguished School designation, offers gateway courses in biomedical science, computer science, and engineering. More information about PLTW is available in our Program of Studies (see below) and on the PLTW website.

AFJROTC

Wayne High School students can continue their PLTW interests throughout their high school careers, and they also have the opportunity to participate in a highly energetic Air Force JROTC program. Wayne’s AFJROTC unit, the Ohio 091st, was established in 1975 and has a proud tradition of being a "Distinguished Unit.”  These young men and women have performed countless color guards, donated money to worthy causes, and provided thousands of community service hours in support of school and community events.

College Credit Plus (CCP)

Our district also has a partnership with Sinclair Community College, which allows students to enroll in college level courses through Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) Program. Students have the option of taking several courses without having to leave our high school campus. Additional information about CCP is available in our Program of Studies.
