About Our Department
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of all subject matter. Gifted services, Instructional technology, educational media, textbook and instructional resource purchases, staff development, CIP, CCIP and federal programs are also under the umbrella of this department. The district science fair, district spelling bee, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) are coordinated by the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction is focused on creating quality educational opportunities to ensure that all students receive a comprehensive and rigorous education. We carefully select curricula that are evidence-based and address a wide range of student needs. We also focus on professional development for all staff members to ensure they are prepared for 21st century teaching and learning. Our department strives to actively listen to teachers, students, parents, and administrators so that we are well-informed and able to develop strategies that ensure success for all of our students. We appreciate your support in our mission to serve the students of Huber Heights City Schools.
